Hmm...Mom Body

Mom Stats:
Today was a sequence of discouraging events. Mike took the day to go work on some manly projects and then go golfing with his brother and dad, so I decided Rachel and I would go on a summer shopping spree. UGHH....mistake...the reality of the mom body totally hit me. The sizes I used to wear, I GUESS I can still squeeze into (skin tight isn't looking too hot either these days...hehe)! But after having a baby, I'm just re-proportioned all weird and differant now! Don't get me wrong, Rachel is totally worth it...but it's just kinda depressing I have to say! Anyone else ever feel this way? All these cute summer shorts and capris, not so sure anymore! We're going on vacation in August, and I am now for the first time saying goodbye tankini...hello one-piece! Does anyone know, is there really such a thing as keeping on "nursing weight?" Any who, our Moss family is having our own biggest loser competition. I'm hoping maybe that will help motivate me a little more, a cash prize always helps, right?

Rachel Stats:
So in the last week, all the sudden she's ROLLING OVER! I was sitting there changing her diaper and off she went! There was hardly any gradual steps towards this, it was like, "hmm...I wonder what will happen if I do this, and BOOM she flipped over!" She rolls over onto her stomach and can keep going back onto her back. This week she's also discovered her feet. She loves staring at her feet and just playing with them! My little baby has changed so much in the matter of one week! Ya know, of course I believe she's the alpha baby specimen:-), but I'm still shocked!

It does take a bit, but don't worry eventually you feel back to your old self again. It took me almost a year before I looked like a used to for the most part.

That's so fun Rachel is rolling now, she is so darling! And I love all her cute little outfits and headbands that she has on at church! You guys are such a cute little family!

I am with you with the weight thing. I once heard somewhere that you can use the excuse of why you look the way you do with, because you just had a baby...up until they are 3! I wish I had a cash prize incentive, good luck! and rachel is adorable!

Definately have the weight thing going on myself since our babies are a few days apart...summer makes it even harder to hide it..I remember it took me a little while with Taysen and then all the sudden I was skinnier than I was before I had him...but I'm sick of waiting..Got to think of something to motivate us here at our house too! Good luck! Sounds like your having fun with her and by the way at Caleb's blessing you looked great so don't be too hard on yourself! :)

Welcome to mombody! Your body is the same, but it's like the furniture has been rearranged. It sucks. For 20 some odd years you've learned your fat spots and how to dress them, then you have a baby and it's a whole new ball game. Isn't it fun! To you your body is horrific, because you know the changes, but really, girl, you are HOT! You look great! Rachel is such an adorable little thing!

*gasp* Are you using the picture I took on your camera of you guys in Malad as your main family picture on here? If it is, I feel so honored! If it isn't, it's still a cute picture of your family!!

I made the mistake of shopping the other week as well, it just isn't as fun!! But hopefully it won't last forever right.

Just be patient, you'll fit back in stuff.....eventually. I had a head-start, that's the only reason I'm back to my capris and shorts (pre-pregnancy clothes). Keep up those walks, they'll pay off, promise!

9 months on, 9 months off. Don't be too hard on yourself. Not to mention, there's a little more that comes off after you're done nursing -woot-! By the way, you look awesome, so no worries... it just keeps getting better.
