Christmas, Baby Shower, and Crazy Cat!!!!

We had a great Christmas with my Dad two weekends ago, then we had another fun Christmas with my Mom in Vernal last weekend. We have one more Christmas to go this upcoming weekend with Mike's parents...we're party animals!! After Christmas #3, we will no longer be traveling anywhere, because I will be full term and D-day could come at anytime. I'm fine just relaxing at home and waiting for our little one to arrive! Here are some pics of our weekend fun so far:
This is my cute niece Lily! This was her first Christmas. Love the cheeks!

I had a wonderful shower that my sister-in-laws planned in Vernal! Thanks again to everyone that came, especially to Carolyn and the awesome quilts she made for my baby girl :-) Also thanks to my friends that always support me, they are the best, it was so good to get together with them and chat up old times!

So after all of our fun times and being gone for about four days, this is what we came home to! I think our cat, Aggie, took out some aggression on our Christmas tree! If you look closely you can see her hiding in the tree still! I think she just got bored! We left her home alone with plenty of food and water, but I guess we forgot to leave out some toys for her to play with!

HaViNg No PrObLeMs StAyInG wArM!

This picture is now two weeks old, but we're behind in posting, December is crazy! So everything is going well, we're just getting ready for Christmas and the arrival of our little one. Although it is so cold outside, I think it feels great! I am always overheated these days, Mike complains that our house is like a freezer! I feel so bad for those women who are pregnant in the summer! In two weeks I'll be considered full term, and if she decides to come any time after that, it would be ok, I cant believe it! Wow, I kinda just wish the stork could bring her...special delivery...I'll be honest...I'm terrified of giving birth! But ya know, you do what you have to do to get to the good stuff!

T minus 61 Days & Counting!

I just wanted to give a quick update! Yes...that's right! We only have 61 days left until our baby's due date! Wow that came fast! We're getting really excited though! I'm now finally starting to feel pregnant! I'm pretty much tired all the time, I'm not fitting into most of my clothes, and acid reflux has reared its ugly head! Our nursery is pretty much all done, we just need some of the finishing touches and then I will post some pics! She's now kicking like crazy, and we have even felt some of her body parts through my tummy!

At my last appointment the nurse was finding our baby's heartbeat, and she said "oh you must be having a boy?" We just kind of looked and each other and said, "no it's a girl" then she commented that "most heart beats at that rate are boys," then she kinda of trailed off and said that she was probably wrong or something! But I thought NO WAY, we already have everything ready for a girl, pink everything! We really don't think she was right, but there better not be any surprises on D-Day is all I have to say!

I have to brag on my hubby though, tonight it really became apparent to me how many things he's got going on, and how he never complains! Between taking 16 credits, working, and being in the Bishopric of our ward...he's amazing! Today he left for church at 7am and didn't get home until 5 pm, because he was doing tithing settlements! He stays up till 1 am or later every night doing homework and studying then leaves early in the morning to start his day. And the crazy thing is....that most the time, he's reassuring me about things! I just had to give a shout out to my awesome hubby because he truly is amazing!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Change

Nearly two years later it's finally over! My first full on experience with a presidential election. I know that most of you who know me well are sick of hearing me talk about it so this will be the last you have to hear, but I do have one last thing I want to say about this election. . .

I've flipped and flopped and wrestled with this decision, even though in the end I knew no matter how I voted that McCain was going to get the electoral votes that represented me. Initially I was the biggest Obama supporter you'd ever find, then I wandered over to the McCain camp because I wasn't as big of a fan of some of Obama's plans. In the end I found myself back in the "change" column. I cast my vote yesterday for Barack Obama with some trepidation that I might be making a mistake. But after watching our new president elect speak, and reflecting on the results I'm confident that I did the right thing.

As much as people will tell you that Obama's call for change was just a platitude, and that nothing is really going to change, I can't imagine how anybody could have watched the election results last night and not felt the change and the accomplishment of our nation. We took a huge step forward last night. I felt more proud to be an American last night than any other time I can think of. Whether you're excited about the change, or scared, or a little of both, I find it hard to believe that anybody really doubts that it's actually there. Even though I still have my differences with our new president, and I'm sure that there will be plenty to disagree with, I'm excited for what lays ahead for the United States. Considering the current state of our country that's no small thing.

Above all I'm proud to live in a country that allows any of us to accomplish whatever we put our minds to. Congratulations President Obama, and good luck in the next 4 years.

-Mike

You asked for it

Ok so we know that we've gotten a little behind on posting pictures of Michelle. It turns out that these days she gets tired just walking up the stairs, so I guess it's on me to get this post up!! It's pretty amazing what a difference 10 weeks can make. As you can see we're definitely on the downhill side at this point. Now if we could only come up with a name for our little one!!

Wii is taking over!!!

Wow, I never thought that we would become the type of people that we be into the Wii, but as you can see.....It all started when Mike, being the best little worker bee that he is, won a Wii at work as a prize. First we tackled tennis, bowling, and the olympic sports. Then the next thing I know, I come home and Mike bought steering wheels, and we have Mario Kart Wii! Which we now are experts at. We even made our Wii Mii's, and yes I realize that only Wii geeks will know what I'm talking about...shout out to Mary and her identical Mii person we created :) So now the next thing I know, yet again I come home from work and Mike is jamming out on guitar hero! We had some friends over and jammed out all night, it was awesome! It really is soo addicting, you would never believe it until you try it for yourself. We have made rules about how much we can play Wii each day, so we can still be somewhat productive.

For any family members reading this...Jelena...Justin...Bryan... dont worry we're bringing the Wii to Thanksgiving...let the best man win!

I have now reached the goal of making one post not about the baby, so to all of you that have been asking for my latest belly pick, it will be coming shortly :)

We found out we're having a baby GIRL!!! We were really surprised, especially Mike, because he was just sure from day one that we were having a boy. But we're really happy and really excited. Were ready for our adventure down the pink aisle! The ulrasound went really well, she's developing normally and the doctor said she looks great! I'm now a little past half way, which is so crazy, we can't believe it!

Our little Turnip!!

....Thats right :)....Our little turnip. I am now on week 17-18 and the baby is five inches long weighing in at about a turnip!! It's so crazy, I keep thinking, how could I not be able to feel a little turnip rustling around in my tummy?! We're still anxiously awaiting the first kick, or even when I start to show...I kinda thought that would have happened by now, but you never know! I do feel my clothes getting tighter, but it kinda just seems like I'm getting chubbier at this point! We will be half way in about two weeks, and the big question of boy or girl will be answered!

I'm so excited for Mike to become a Dad, I think he will be the cutest and best Dad ever. Just by the way he babies our cat when he thinks I'm not watching shows off his big softy side. He's been babying me ever since my pregnancy began! I'm so blessed to be sealed to the best man in the world and I love him so much!

ANNIVERSARY!!!

These are some pics of our anniversary weekend in Park City, it was so great to get away, even for just a weekend! Mike's parents met us there one of the nights, and spoiled us and took us to the best restaurant in Park City! Then of course...back at home we are eating the top of our wedding cake to celebrate!

SURPRISE, SURPRISE!!!

Much to our surprise, we're going to be parents! Don't worry...it's a pleasant surprise! I am about 13 weeks along, and our due date is January 23th! We're starting to get used to the idea and getting more excited every day! We will know if it's a boy or girl around the end of August or beginning of September, cast your vote for your prediction!! (If you want the longer, more interesting version of this story ask Mike sometime. He'd love to tell you!)

4TH OF JULY!!!

We had an awesome 4th of July!! Mike's grandparent's live in Malad, ID and it was so much fun! The weekend started with the town parade. The Moss family always enters a float in the city parade on his uncle's trucking business. This was the first year they didn't place, but it looked great to us!

We also got to witness "Malad Idol" which our cousin Karen sang in as the reigning champion, she had to give up her title this year, but she did great!

Next on the agenda was our usual poker game, we made sure to stop at the store to get our buy in, peanut butter M&M's!

BEST FIREWORK SHOW EVER!!! Our cousin, Junior, puts on an amazing firework show for our family. This was the first time I've ever seen it, and I can't even describe it!! Junior drives over to Wyoming every year to load up on the illegal good stuff! It was better than the city fireworks! After the show was over, we could hear all the neighbors cheering! THANKS AGAIN JUNIOR, it was great!

Here's a little taste of it for you.

Our adventure in Malad ended with one of Grandpa Moss' cows giving birth to an 80+ pound calf that needed our uncle's help in delivering! That was pretty neat, and all the little ones loved it!

After we got back to Logan, we made it in time to catch the "Cache Valley Cruise In." For all of you that aren't from Logan, this is a SWEET parade that consists of old muscle cars from all over the nation dragging main for a couple of hours. It is so cool to watch!

So all in all, we had a BLAST this weekend, and it's going to be hard to go back to work on Monday!

Moss' Invade the Blog Scene

Well we finally made it! We're excited to finally have set up a blog to keep in touch with friends and family!

So some new updates in Moss world include:

I graduated with my bachelors in business, now only one more year for Mike's undergrad! It was also cool, because I got to graduate with my brother from the same college, so our parents got a nice two-for-one! I'm so glad to be done!

We got a new member to our little family...Aggie! She's a pretty cute little cat, and she has been lots of fun so far!

Mike got a new calling in our ward, to be a member of the bishopric. So that has been a new fun adventure! He's a pretty busy boy right now, he's taking a full load of classes this summer and working, he's awesome!

We recently went to Disneyland on vacation and it was a blast! We miss the California weather already! Well this is all I can think of that has been happening recently off the top of my head...so more later
